Even though Monica Garcia is no longer on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, she’s still catching our attention. The villain of Season 4 was involved in a lawsuit against Heather Gay and her Beauty Lab. She has been fighting for months, but the verdict is in, and Monica has been ordered to pay up.
Monica Garcia has lost her case with Heather Gay’s Beauty Lab
After failing to pay for her lip injections, Monica has been ordered to pony up and pay Beauty Lab $35,000.
The US Sun reported that the lawsuit, which had been going on for over a year, had finally been settled. In October 2024, Heather’s spa filed a proposed judgment with a Salt Lake City court. The documents were approved and signed off on November 4, 2024. The paperwork shows that the judgment was in favor of Beauty Lab for a total of $35,853.60.
The amount in question included the “principal amount that the company initially sued for in August 2023, $2,000, plus pre-judgment interest at 18 percent per year (from February 2020 until October 2024). The interest totals $1,683.62.”
To add insult to injury, Monica was also charged a $15 late fee, and $604.98 for costs and fees associated with the lawsuit. The former Bravoleb was also told she would have to pay Beauty Lab’s attorney fees, which added up to $31,550.
In addition, Heather’s spa can collect post-judgment interest at the rate of 18 percent annually until the judgment is fully paid off. The ruling added that the “Plaintiff is entitled to recover all future collection costs, court costs, and attorney’s fees incurred in enforcing and collecting this judgment.”
Upon hearing the verdict, Monica’s lawyer, Larry Reed, told the outlet, “An appeal will be filed. We are confident.”
