When you go to the grocery store you might just see a robot that is rolling around the stores.
TOPS Friendly Markets, who is owned by Northeast Grocery, will see robots at certain stores. The robots look like tall slender towers that will cruise the aisles and help manage inventory and potential theft around the stores.

It seems to be a massive problem that all retailers are having across America lately. If you go to any grocery store or retailer now, theft seems to be a really big problem. I went to Walmart the other day and there were 10 different self check out stations and one cashier monitoring the area. Though there were 10 different self check outs only 3 of the self check-out stations were active. When I asked why only 3 were on she said it was because they need to monitor for stealing.

I’ve seen these elsewhere. They use robots to get rid of human jobs, and then raise prices to pay for the robots.
A big question and concern that people have when they see the news of the robots that are coming to the grocery stores is if the robots will be able to record video or take images.
Shoppers in Amherst (two locations), Depew, Hamburg, and Orchard Park should expect to see the robots the next time they are shopping at Tops.
