Rockford Boylan president resigns: ‘I leave with immense pride’

Date:

Boylan Central Catholic High School President Amy Ott will resign effective June 30 as the school works to implement a new leadership model in conjunction with diocesan Central Catholic high schools, a news release said.

Ott has helped lead Boylan under a president-principal leadership model since 2015.

“This structure has allowed the principal to focus on academics and daily operations while I concentrated on advancing Boylan’s mission and strategic goals,” Ott said in the release. “I look forward to working with the diocesan superintendent of schools and Boylan’s leadership team to transition to a new organizational model designed to strengthen all diocesan Catholic high schools.”

Boylan Central Catholic High School President Amy Ott has announced her resignation effective June 30, 2025.

Ott is credited with helping to grow Boylan Educational Foundation assets from $2.8 million to $12 million, significant campus improvements, upgrading educational technology and hiring the school’s ninth principal in 60 years.

“As I prepare to conclude my time as president, I leave with immense pride in what we have accomplished together and deep gratitude for the Boylan community,” Ott said in the release.

Kim White, diocesan superintendent of Catholic Schools, said the school system is grateful for Ott’s efforts. She said information about a new leadership model will be released in January. It will take effect for the 2025-2026 school year.
