ROUNDUP: Golden Arrows get 15th boys tennis win of season

Sullivan’s boys tennis team continues to roll, with the Golden Arrows topping host Vincennes Lincoln 4-1 in high school play Wednesday.

Coach Wesley Kirk’s squad got two singles victories and swept both doubles matches. The Arrows are now 15-2 overall.

They’ll play host to Indian Creek at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Singles — Joshua Clegg (VL) def. Levi Chickadaunce 6-1, 7-6 (1); Hunter Pinkston (S) def. Mabry Fleck 6-3, 6-3; Andrew Jackson (S) def. Luke Hall 6-2, 7-5.

Doubles — Carter Mischler-Jayden Scott (S) def. Jaden McCarter-Joel Sanders 2-6, 6-4, 6-4; Spencer Hanks-Sam Couch (S) def. Michael Waltry-Dayton Piper 6-1, 6-4.

JV — Vincennes Lincoln won 6-2.

In other prep tennis:

• Mattoon 7, Paris 2 — At Mattoon, Ill., Paris’ Myah Bartos won her No. 6 singles match, while the Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Emerson Barrett and Bella Moreschi also were victorious in an Apollo Conference girls match Wednesday.
