Sampdoria coach Leonardo Semplici: “We didn’t do too badly despite the score line.”

Sampdoria coach Leonardo Semplici analyzed his team’s performance in the 4-1 defeat to Roma tonight in Coppa Italia.

After the match, Semplici spoke to Mediaset.

“It is clear that today I took advantage of the match to see the squad I have available,” said the newly appointed coach.

“The first half hour certainly did not go very well and we also changed the formation, eventually doing better. In the second half we also did good things.”

“This match should be taken as a lesson to do well in Serie B. We didn’t do too badly tonight,” he added.

“I accepted the job because I am convinced that we have a valid team,” he concluded.
