Afghanistan recently had a successful ODI series against Bangladesh, which they won 2-1. Now, they will tour Zimbabwe for a multi-format series in December 2024 and January 2026. This will begin on December 9, when both teams will play the first T20I. It will be followed by three ODIs, starting on December 15. The two tests will begin on December 26 and January 2. All six white-ball matches will be played at Harare Sports Club, and two tests will take place at Queens Sports Club.

Champions Trophy 2025 (Pakistan)
For the first time in history, Afghanistan will be playing in the ICC Champions Trophy for the first time. The ninth edition is scheduled to take place in Pakistan. Afghanistan made it to the tournament after they finished sixth in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The top 8 teams qualified for the Champions Trophy 2023.
The schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 has not been announced, but as per the proposed draft, Afghanistan are part of Group B along with Australia, England, and South Africa. Afghanistan will play three games in their group, one against each team. The complete will be updated as the schedule is announced. The Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in February-March 2025.

After the Champions Trophy 2025, Afghanistan will be ready to travel to Ireland for a multi-format tour. Afghanistan Tour of Pakistan 2025 (3 T20Is)
Afghanistan and Pakistan have produced some thrilling games in the past year or so. Whenever these two have come up against each other, fans have got their money worth. They will be up against each other once again in August 2025 and will play a three-match T20I series in Pakistan. It will be a great series as both teams will prepare for the Asia Cup 2025 and T20 World Cup 2026.
Asia Cup 2025
The 17th edition of the men’s Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in India. It will have six teams, and 13 matches will be played during October 2025. Afghanistan are one of the six participants to play in this tournament. They are slated in Group B with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
