The scoring spree of Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo is attracting attention from Arsenal, according to talkSPORT.
The Cameroon international ended last season with nine goals and six assists in 25 Premier League appearances and has notched eight goals in nine league games so far in 2024-25.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has touted Mbeumo for a move to a bigger club, and the Bees have slapped a £50 million asking price on the Arsenal target following his impressive start to the season.
The data team of the Gunners rated the 25-year-old really high on their transfer list last summer, leading the club to consider making a move for him.
However, Arsenal decided against going after him as they knew Brentford were not going to entertain offers once it became clear they were ready to sell Ivan Toney.
Mbeumo has remained on their radar and they could go after him in January or next summer.
The North London club are not the only Premier League side keen on the former Troyes star, with Liverpool and Newcastle United also interested in him.
Mbeumo has the option of a 12-month extension in his deal, which Brentford plan to activate to tie him down until the summer of 2027.
That would see his transfer value go up, but landing him for £50m could still prove to be a fair deal, and Arsenal could look to make a move soon.
The Gunners also have Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres on their radar, and they have been handed a transfer boost as the Sweden international can reportedly leave the Portuguese top-flight next summer for around £50m (€60m) despite having a release clause of £83m (€100m).
Arsenal are also monitoring the situation of Newcastle United hitman Alexander Isak, with the Swede expected to leave the Toons if they fail to secure Champions League qualification.
