Sean Durzi and Jack McBain Are The Latest To Arrive In Utah

Date:

The news is coming fast and furious from the Utah Hockey Club, and it’s difficult for us at The Hockey News to keep up.

(Apologies for that, by the way.)

But after defenceman Juuso Valimaki and forward Liam O’Brien arrived in the Beehive State last week, now Sean Durzi and Jack McBain have joined the party.

In an Instagram post to social media late Thursday night, the Utah HC social team was on site at Salt Lake City International Airport as Durzi and McBain arrived from Toronto.

Durzi, fresh off signing his 4-year contract extension in July, figures to be on the top defence pair this season with new acquisition Mikhail Sergachev, while McBain is projected to rotate in and out of the fourth line with Michael Carcone, O’Brien, and perhaps Alex Kerfoot.

Training camp isn’t that far away as Utah will open it with the rookie portion of camp next week Wednesday in Kearns before the Rookie Face-Off takes place over the weekend.

It leads up to the pre-season opener in Des Moines, Iowa, against St. Louis on September 22nd, before the first-ever NHL home game in Utah sports history the next night against Los Angeles.
