The first hospital built in Louisville’s West End in more than 150 years is set to open soon.
After more than two years of construction, Norton West Louisville Hospital at 850 S. 28th St. will receive its first patients on Nov. 11.
The Courier Journal got a tour of the new facility in the Parkland neighborhood, which includes a 24/7 emergency department, operating rooms, and laboratory and imaging services, in addition to a slew of inpatient treatment and outpatient services.
The 86,500-square-foot facility will also have 20 inpatient beds, a food pantry in partnership with Dare to Care Food Bank, and a retail pharmacy.
