Soggy days ahead for the Tri-State. Here’s what forecasters are saying.

Date:

It’s not going to be the best weather week in the Tri-State.

Here’s what the National Weather Service is saying about the forecast.

How much rain will the Evansville area get?

Monday is going to be soggy as an area of showers and thunderstorms move through the region. Tuesday will be nicer with only small rain chances during the day.

Rain then returns to the forecast late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

In all, the National Weather Service is forecasting two inches of rain in the Evansville and Henderson areas through Wednesday.

Some positive news: It won’t be freezing cold out there. Temperatures will reach the low 60s on Monday followed by 52 on Tuesday and 50 on Wednesday.

Is severe weather in the forecast for Evansville?

While thunderstorms are possible Monday and Wednesday, severe weather isn’t expected.

However, the National Weather Service said Monday that drivers “can expect roads and low-lying areas that typically see standing water to be covered at times today. Drivers should exercise caution.”
