Welcome to the live coverage of the first Test between South Africa and Pakistan. Today is the first day of the match which is the first of a two-match series. South Africa, led by Temba Bavuma, will be starting as favourites but Pakistan do have the pace attack to trouble the hosts. Both sides named their Playing XIs ahead of the match. Debutant Corbin Bosch got his maiden wicket in his Test career on the first delivery of his spell. He was called in the 15th over and he struck with the first ball. Marco Jansen took a fine catch to dismiss the opponent captain. Babar Azam is the new batter at the crease and he started with a boundary.
