Spalletti shares update on Lorenzo Pellegrini: “It would be wrong to start him tomorrow.”

Italy coach Luciano Spalletti shared an update regarding Lorenzo Pellegrini’s condition.

The Roma skipper had recently sustained a muscle injury in the match against France remains questionable for Italy’s next engagement as well as Roma’s upcoming fixture with Genoa on the weekend.

During his pre-match presser, Spalletti commented, “Calafiori will not be there. We will evaluate Pellegrini tomorrow, but I think it would be wrong to let him play from the start.”

“However, if the tests are positive tomorrow morning, it is clear that someone with his qualities can always be part of the match.”
