Aug. 28—Zionsville Tennis

The Zionsville tennis team topped Hamilton Southeastern 3-2 on Tuesday evening. The Eagles are 2-0 in matches, and placed second in the Jeffersonville Invite last weekend.

They are scheduled to head to Noblesville on Thursday.

Zionsville Golf

The Zionsville girls golf team placed third in a four-way match with Carmel, Noblesville and Westfield.

The Eagles shot a 165 at Prairie View. Amaya Wade was co-medalist with a 36.

Zionsville goes to West Chase on Thursday.

Lebanon Volleyball

The Lebanon volleyball team improved to 2-4 on the season with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23) win over Sheridan.

The Tigers are back in action Thursday at Tri-West.

WeBo Golf

The Western Boone girls golf team picked up a win on Monday over Southmont, Lebanon and Sheridan.

The Stars shot a 174, with Southmont shooting a 187. Lebanon and Sheridan were incomplete.

Ally Lewis tied for medalist honors with a 39. Lyla Jackson had a 43, Ila Stokes shot a 45 and Jada Scott had a 47. Jaylee Dickerson rounded out the group with a 50.

Lebanon Tennis

The Lebanon tennis team lost to McCutcheon 3-2.

At No. 1 singles, Owen Bigler lost to Nathan Wood 6-2, 6-1.

At No. 2 singles, Wesley Byrd topped Nolan Grigsby 6-4, 6-1 and at No. 3 singles, Leo Johnson lost to Jackson Wise 6-0, 7-6.

At No. 1 doubles, Jack Ferrell and Ian Kincade topped Kaiden Konkle and Lucas Learman 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

At No. 2 doubles, Owen Kincade and Parker Lawson lost to Jaxon Aldridge and Connor Menon 6-0, 6-1.

WeBo Tennis

On Saturday, the Western Boone tennis team lost to Pike 3-2.

At No. 1 singles, Gavin Hawkins lost to Chris Castillo-Perez 6-4, 6-3.

At No. 2 singles, Jon Rutherford topped Jackie Newberg 6-1, 6-1 and at No. 3 singles, Jacob Collins fell to Evan Wean 6-4, 6-3.

At No. 1 doubles, Owen Oakley and Easton Nance topped Davis Lewis and Edgar Vazquez 6-4, 6-2.

At No. 2 doubles, Eli Mitchell and Logan Cripe lost to Scott Dunleavy and Kaiden Jackson 6-3, 6-3.

Schedule changes

Due to the high temperatures, several events were postponed on Tuesday.

The Lebanon boys soccer team’s game at Kokomo was moved to Sept. 26. The Lebanon girls soccer game at Southmont was rescheduled for Oct. 2.

The Western Boone golf match with Crawfordsville and Danville was moved to Sept. 17. The Western Boone tennis match against Southmont was moved to Aug. 31 as part of the WeBo Invite.

The Western Boone boys soccer game at Rossville was postponed. A make-up day is yet to be determined.

The Zionsville boys soccer game at Fishers has moved moved to Sept. 26.
