Steelers rule out WR George Pickens

Date:

Mike Tomlin said Tuesday he doubted George Pickens would play Sunday, but the Steelers head coach left the door cracked for the wide receiver to suit up. The Steelers slammed the door shut Friday.

They ruled out Pickens to play against the Eagles.

Pickens injured his hamstring in last Friday’s practice, and he was inactive for the Week 14 win over the Browns.

Pickens leads the Steelers with 850 receiving yards and 55 catches to go along with three touchdowns.

The Steelers also ruled out strong safety DeShon Elliott (hamstring) and defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi (groin).

Nose tackle Montravius Adams (knee) and offensive lineman Calvin Anderson (groin) are questionable.

Anderson was a new addition to the injury report Friday with a limited practice, an indication he was injured at practice.
