Strictly live updates: Stars return to dancefloor after hand incident controversy

Date:

Strictly stars have returned to the show after last week faced an onslaught of headlines over the hand incident controversy involving Katya Jones and Wynne Evans.

This week the Strictly pair have been under the microscope after the Strictly pro appeared to move away Evans’ hand from her waist sparking a huge reaction online from social media users. The backlash has left the Go Compare star feeling “heartbroken” as both Jones and Evans revealed the truth of the matter: it was a “silly inside joke”.

This weekend the Strictly pairing will be hoping to Quickstep away from the drama with their perform to Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.

The competition is getting fiercer each week. Nick Knowles was the latest celebrity to leave the competition after facing the dance off with Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu who will be hoping to impress audiences with their American Smooth to Get Here by Sam Smith.
