Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar praised his teammates following their 2-1 comeback win over Venezia at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Belgian shot-stopper was decisive against Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, making multiple superb saves to prevent Venezia from adding to their goal tally.
“It’s a different style of play under the new manager,” began Svilar during his interview on DAZN.
“We’re still adjusting since our preparations are different. We need a bit more time, but we’re doing a good job. Everyone is adapting very quickly.”
“As for today, the toughest save was the one against Oristanio. There was also one on Pohjanpalo, I dived and he hit me, but on the second attempt, I was lucky to have my hand in the right place. Luckily, that’s my job.”
Svilar also singled out teammates Angeliño and Nicolo Pisilli, who scored a late winner to earn Roma all three points.
“He [Angelino] is very strong, both with the ball and in the air. He’s not that tall, but he’s extremely clever and focused. Hopefully he keeps playing like this.”
He continued, “Pisilli is a great guy, he’s going to become a very strong player. I’m very happy for him and for our win.”
