SW Florida HS results: CSN girls golf takes Region A-3 girls golf title plus soccer scores

WEDNESDAY

Girls Golf

Region 1A-3: The Community School of Naples shot a 305 to take home the regional title by eight strokes over Carrollwood, advancing to the FHSAA State Championship for the fourth year in a row. The Seahawks were led by individual champion Isabella Michetti (74).  CSN’s Alayna Friedt (77), Reilly Kirwin (77), and Sydney Young (77) all finished in tied for eighth place individually with Emmey Siek finishing 14th overall (79). 

First Baptist took fifth with a 364 followed by Oais in ninth (392) and St. John Neumann in 10th (405). The Lions’ Eva Lye placed 11th with a 78 and Oasis’ Riley Fritz 17th with an 82. As an individual, The Village School’s Caraline Hartfield was 19th with an 83.

Boys Golf

Region 1A-3: Bishop Verot finished in a tie for fourth with Cardinal Mooney as each team shot a 304, just four strokes behind winner Berkeley Prep’s 300. Griffin Henrey led the Vikings with a seventh-place 72, followed by JC Iglesias (14th, 74), Adrian Bahnam (27th, 77), and Easton Green (37th, 81).

St. John Neumann tied for seventh as a team with a 317, led by Ryan Toole and Grant Noren, who tied for 20th with 75s. Community School of Naples tied for 10th led by Spencer Ives, who tied for 7th with a 72. Marco Island’s Kaden Latreille was 20th with a 75.

TUESDAY

Girls Golf

Region 2A-4: Barron Collier placed fourth overall with a team score of 360. Sophomore Makayla Caine led the way with an 85 to place 14th, followed by freshman Erin Erol with an 88 in 23rd and Kate Freshwater with a 92 in 32nd.

Aubrey Rogers was eighth with a 392, led by Avery Deal who took eighth individually with an 82. Fort Myers placed 11th with a 411, led by Amelia Alonso in 17th place with an 86. Estero was 12th with a 465 led by Sophia Reed who was 28th with a 91.

Boys Golf

Region 3A-3: Gateway placed 12th as a team with freshman Beau Rassatt low scorer with an 81.

Girls Soccer

ECS 8, Babcock Ranch 0: Taylor Foss led the way with 6 goals and Gianna Thrower had 2 goals. Brooke Foss led ECS with 4 assists.

North Fort Myers 7, Aubrey Rogers 0: Hannah Busenbark scored 5 goals and Kenlee Dominguez had 2 goals and 2 assists.

Boys Soccer

Mariner 9, Island Coast 0: Gabriel Garcia, Gabriel Tarra, and Richard Sandoval all scored twice with Thomas Castano, Neil Zela, and Justin Corbalan scoring once.

Region 2A-4: Barron Collier Boys finished in seventh place with a plus-17 305 at the Class 2A-Region 4 meet at the National GC at Ave Maria. Matthew Gerstemeier led the Cougars with a 73 to tie for 11th, and Braden Miller finished with a 76 to place 32nd. Barron Collier will look to receive an at-large bid to state. Estero finished ninth as a team with a plus-19 307 and Fort Myers 11th with a plus-29 317. Estero’s Ryan Stewart and Samuel McDonald tied for 11th with 73, Aubrey Rogers’ Mason Stieler was tied for 18th with a 74 and Estero’s Adin McMaster tied for 24th with a 75.

Boys Soccer

Oasis 6, Dunbar 2: Tyler Kerr had a hat trick to go along with an assist. Caden Bly, Jacobo Herrera, and Matt Zea also contributed goals while Emmanuel Diaz, Matt Diaz, Nicholas Odar and Josh Hill provided assists for Oasis. Defense was led by Trey D’Auria and Sebastian De La Torre and Lars Fahnemann.

Girls Soccer

Canterbury 9, Gateway Charter 0: Taiya Arrigo netted a hat trick for the Cougars with lone goals from Alyssa LoGuercio (assist), Mackenzie Molina, Savannah Struble, Lucy Waldau (assist), Kali Young (assist) and Briannah Calello.

Cape Coral 2, Gulf Coast 2: Abby Mourning scored assisted by Sophia Vianest and Alexis Myers scored assisted by Olivia Toro for the Seahawks. Payton Jones had 6 saves in the tie.
