The Rock are certainly hitting the boards so far and lead SU in that category 16-14. SU has aided that by not pursuing rebounds off missed 3-pointers hard enough. SU is 5-of-12 from beyond the arc so far.
Lampkin has checked in for the Orange.
Chris Bell and Elijah Moore both lead Syracuse with 6 points. Both have hit two 3-pointers.
10:42 remaining: Syracuse 16, Slippery Rock 10.
It’s a rock fight against The Rock so far as SU is shooting 5-of-14 and Slippery Rock leads on the boards 12-10.
The Rock leads the Orange in paint points 8-0 at this point as well.
Chris Bell has two early 3-pointers. Elijah “Choppa” Moore adds a 3-pointer for the Orange as well.
Naheem McLeod, Petar Majstorovic and Kyle Cuffe check in early for the Orange. Still not Eddie Lampkin in the lineup for the Orange at center thus far.
15:28 remaining: Syracuse 8, Slippery Rock 4
More of a stumble out of the gate for the Orange in this game than the first exhibition as The Rock lead the Orange on the boards 7-6. Donnie Freeman got stuffed by Slippery Rock’s O’Meech Wilson on a play that led to a fast-break dunk.

We’re expecting Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry to mix up the lineups again here today. Autry used 10 different players and 12 different lineup combinations in just the first half of the Orange’s 101-73 win over Clarion (Pa.) University on Saturday.
One player you won’t see again tonight is Chance Westry, who was held out of SU’s first exhibition game due to what Autry deemed precautionary reasons after missing considerable time in the preseason with an illness.
