TAGTHAi, the Thai Digital Platform Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., a comprehensive travel app for exploring Thailand, recently celebrated its achievements and partnerships in driving the country’s tourism sector. The event, held at the Royal Pavilion of The Royal Bangkok Sports Club, marked a moment of appreciation for successful collaborations and milestones.
The celebration was graced by a distinguished group of public and private sector leaders, including representatives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tourism Council of Thailand, Thailand Science Research and Innovation, Kasikorn Bank, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., True Digital Group Co., Ltd., and Dusit Thani Group, alongside over 40 other influential organizations.
Kalin Sarasin, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, as well as Chairman of the Management Committee of TAGTHAi, emphasized the platform’s pivotal role in advancing the “Happy Model.” This initiative is designed to promote a “Good and Happy Life” through the sharing of healthy living practices, nutritious eating, physical activity, and positive experiences. TAGTHAi plays a crucial part in boosting Thailand’s tourism sector, helping to elevate both major cities and lesser-known destinations, ultimately fostering wider recognition and growth. This, in turn, supports a circular economy by encouraging sustainable, high-value tourism in Thailand.
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), a government partner of TAGTHAi, expressed strong support for the platform’s national potential. TAT believes that TAGTHAi’s ability to innovate through technology and deliver essential services helps both Thai and international tourists access useful information and resources. The platform provides various services, including personalized trip planning through “Design My Trip,” VAT refund processing, emergency assistance hotlines, Thai QR Payment through TAGTHAi Easy Pay, and comprehensive travel guidance, all contributing to the sustainable growth of tourism in the country.
Kattiya Indaravijaya, CEO of Kasikorn Bank, a key private sector supporter of TAGTHAi, highlighted the platform’s role in ensuring income distribution to communities and promoting tourism development in secondary cities. She emphasized that this aligns with the goal of empowering individuals and businesses, noting that over the past five years, TAGTHAi has proven its effectiveness as a national platform connecting both large and small entrepreneurs within the tourism industry.
Thiratida Kuvantrarai, CEO of Thai Digital Platform Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., credited TAGTHAi’s success to the collaboration and backing from numerous key players across the tourism, economy, and technology sectors. She revealed that this year, TAGTHAi has seen a 100% growth, with over 2 million downloads from Thai and international users. Furthermore, TAGTHAi has become the first Thai application allowing international tourists to make payments with Thai QR codes using TAGTHAi Easy Pay at stores nationwide.
“We have partnered with Google Cloud to use Generative AI to pioneer a comprehensive personal travel plan. For the next step, TAGTHAi still keeps putting efforts to generate advantages for Thailand’s tourism industry, respond to the needs of tourists, and create opportunities and income for Thai entrepreneurs in local areas. Also, we hope that all partners and stakeholders will continuously contribute to the growth and success of this national tourism platform together”.
TAGTHAi has evolved into a comprehensive travel platform designed to enhance the experience of exploring Thailand. With over 3,300 partners and entrepreneurs on board, it offers a wide range of services for both local and international visitors.
