Temwa Chawinga etched her name into the National Womenβs Soccer League history books on Saturday with yet another goal.
The 26-year-old KC Current star made a slick run into the box and received a ball from Debinha before finishing from a tight angle against Racing Louisville.
It goes down as her record-tying 18th regular season goal, something last achieved by Sam Kerr in 2019.
It also arrived in just the third minute of the game, proving sheβs well up for the challenge to break the all-time record.
Not including the Current, Chawinga has now only failed to score against San Diego Wave. They are, however, one of the three teams still left on their regular season schedule.

Matches against Bay FC and the Chicago Red Stars add to that list. Will she break the record?
