The Friedkin Group complete takeover of Everton

Date:

The Friedkin Group have completed the takeover of Everton Football club, they have confirmed today, ending Farhad Moshiri’s spell in control of the Merseyside club.

“Everton Football Club has been acquired by Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited (Roundhouse), an entity within The Friedkin Group (TFG),” a statement read.

“The transaction was finalised following an agreement between Farhad Moshiri’s Blue Heaven Holdings (BHH) and Roundhouse for the sale of BHH’s majority stake in the club.

The deal is believed to be worth over £400m, and ends a period of waiting which has stretched since it was initially agreed in September while the Premier League ratified the takeover.

Will the change of owners inspire a change of fortunes at Goodison Park?
