The Space Store brings out-of-this-world shopping to Chattanooga

Date:

Prepare to blast off all the way to Market Street where newly opened The Space Store resides.

This spot, owned + operated by local media group Firecrown, marks the store’s first-ever physical location. Prior to this, The Space Store has been fully online since 1996 (one of the first e-commerce sites on the internet), functioning as the world’s largest destination of NASA + other space merch.

You can expect to see items like you would online, from artifacts and memorabilia to toys + apparel, but the storefront will have some exclusive touches.

  • Astronomy (Firecrown’s space media outlet) sponsored items for space education + enthusiasts — globes, books, stationary, etc.
  • The “mission patch” wall featuring hundreds of space missions, milestones, and programs
  • Authentic SpaceX suits + hardware
  • A collectible section with rocket and airplane models
  • A floor-to-ceiling image of NASA’s “Pillars of Creation”

Bonus: The Space Store is hosting a Kids Day on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to close — kiddos will enjoy in-store missions, VR experiences, and more.
