The TGL, a tech-infused golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports, kicks off next week at the circuit’s SoFi Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a match between the New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club on Jan. 7.
The three-man lineups for each team were announced Friday with Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitpatrick and Xander Schauffele suiting up for NYGC, and Shane Lowry, Wyndham Clark and Ludvig Aberg going for TBGC.
According to NBC’s WPTV, the TGL is hiring “enthusiastic golf spectators” to fill the SoFi Center, the league’s indoor playing facility which features 1,500 seats.
“We have a small, intimate venue and like an awards show we use seat fillers to, you know, fill seats,” Adam Freifeld, a broadcast communications spokesperson for the league, said in a text to WPTV.
Penguin Entertainment, a third-party company tasked with finding the seat-fillers for TGL, posted this to Instagram:
According to the post, compensation includes $150-$250 and free TGL gear.
