The 2024 LIV Golf regular season is in the books, and that means it’s relegation time for those golfers at the bottom of the standings.

Those in the Drop Zone, which is Nos. 49 and below in LIV Golf’s individual standings, will be relegated from the league and will head to the 2024 LIV Golf Promotions tournament to try to play their way back into a roster spot. Another avenue is through the International Series, an order of merit based on 10 Asian Tour designated events. John Catlin paces that list.

Earlier this week, LIV Golf clarified its relegation rules, meaning no player ranked 49th or worse after LIV Golf Chicago will be able to guarantee their spot on the 2025 roster. Previously, captains were exempt from relegation.

And one of those captain, a former major champion, finished in the drop zone and will thus be relegated. Additionally, Laurie Canter finished in the Drop Zone, but he only played in the first two events of the season as a reserve player.

Here are the LIV Golf players who are being relegated after the conclusion of the 2024 season.

Samooja finished bogey-par-bogey to fall to 49th and into the Drop Zone. He spent most of the final round above the cut line.

Vincent recorded only two top-20 finishes this season.

Grace is one of the surprises to see on this list. But this year, he had only two top-20 finishes, which is as many as he had in the 50s.

Bubba Watson

The two-time Masters winner is being relegated thanks to a late rule change saying captain can, in fact, be relegated. What’s next for Watson, we’ll have to wait and see. He can be a non-playing captain of the RangeGoats if he chooses.

The Vincent brothers both are being relegated. In Chicago, Kieran finished T-23, which was his second-best finish of the year.
