Artificial intelligence has been a tailwind for many sectors such as chipmakers, cloud companies, and even the healthcare space.

Deena Shakir, General Partner Lux Capital, telling Yahoo Finance’s Madison Mills at Yahoo Finance Invest about her excitement of what’s in the works.

“We’re seeing everything from investments in artificial womb technology, incredible advances on fertility tech— AI in particular being used” says Shakir.

However, funding continues to be a key puzzle piece. Shakir saying “as long as less than 2% of research money is going into this space, we’re not going to see crazy breakthrough.”
