ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Where is the wealthiest place in Missouri? It’s a village in St. Louis County with less than 100 residents, according to a recent Forbes report.
A Forbes research team analyzed U.S. Census data to determine the state’s top 50 wealthiest places based on four factors from the 2022 American Community Survey:
According to Forbes, based on these factors, the richest place in Missouri is the village of Country Life Acres, a small community surrounded by the city of Town and Country, Missouri.

Forbes notes that Country Life Acres has around 34 total households with a median household income higher than $250,000; an average household income of $618,000; a median home value of $1.5 million and more than $10,000 in median property taxes paid.
Census data further reports a population of 93 people and a median age of 56.5 in Country Life Acres. The village itself is only around a tenth of a square mile in total land.
Forbes highlighted the Top 50 richest places in Missouri based on a the same scale as Country Life Acres. Nine of the Top 10 places, including the first seven, were located within St. Louis County, including Huntleigh, Ladue, and Clayton among others.
