Team news for Thursday’s Scottish Premiership matches.

Hearts v Hibernian (12:30)

Hearts hope to have midfielder Beni Baningime back following recent knee problems but Frankie Kent, Stephen Kingsley, Calem Nieuwenhof and Gerald Taylor remain out.

Hibernian midfielder Joe Newell and defender Warren O’Hora are trying to shake off knocks while forwards Mykola Kuharevich and Rudi Molotnikov could return following groin issues. Kieron Bowie and Marvin Ekpiteta are out.

Celtic v Motherwell

Nicolas Kuhn is a doubt with a knee problem while Celtic team-mates Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty have been recovering from illness and Alistair Johnston has had a hip problem. James Forrest is out until January with a foot injury.

Motherwell have defender Dan Casey available after a successful appeal against his red card in Friday’s draw with Kilmarnock. Winger Sam Nicholson returns following illness but Ross Callachan, Paul McGinn, Zach Robinson, Steve Seddon, Callum Slattery and Jack Vale remain out.

Dundee v Ross County

Forward Oluwaseun Adewumi returns to the Dundee squad but Scott Fraser, Ziyad Larkeche, Clark Robertson and Joe Shaughnessy remain out.

Defender Ricki Lamie could come into Ross County contention after returning to training but Eli Campbell, Will Nightingale and Alex Samuel are still missing.

Kilmarnock v Aberdeen

Kilmarnock are without suspended Robbie Deas, while Liam Donnelly and Matty Kennedy are doubts but goalkeeper Robby McCrorie should return. Stuart Findlay is out long-term.

Aberdeen goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov is back in training following a hamstring problem. Vicente Besuijen, Pape Habib Gueye and Jack Milne remain out.

St Johnstone v Dundee United

St Johnstone have Kyle Cameron, Nicky Clark and Lewis Neilson back in their squad. Barry Douglas, Uche Ikpeazu, Cammy MacPherson and Sam McClelland are all out.

Dundee United are again without forwards Louis Moult and Craig Sibbald.

St Mirren v Rangers (17:45)

St Mirren left-back Scott Tanser is suspended but forward Toyosi Olusanya returns from a ban. Conor McMenamin is a doubt and captain Mark O’Hara remains out with a thigh problem.

Defenders Neraysho Kasanwirjo and John Souttar remain out for Rangers while midfielder Tom Lawrence is working his way back to fitness. Goalkeeper Jack Butland missed Saturday’s win over Dundee to attend the birth of his daughter.
