Tiger Woods didn’t tee it up this week in the 2024 Hero World Challenge, saying in his pre-tournament news conference he wasn’t tournament sharp yet.
On Sunday, he was asked about whether his next time teeing it up could be in two weeks at the 2024 PNC Championship, where he and son Charlie have played the last four years in the season-ending event at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.
“We’ll see,” Woods told NBC’s Dan Hicks during the final round coverage.
Woods is nearly three months removed from back surgery and hasn’t played competitively since the Open Championship at Royal Troon in July.
The initial field for the PNC Championship was announced last month, and two of the 20 teams have yet to be announced. Surely, one of the two remaining spots is being saved should Team Woods tee it up.
Also during his appearance in the booth, Woods talked about Scottie Scheffler’s new putting grip, the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black and more.
