Beyond the Brand
People may think of themselves as brands, but they aren’t. The brand is a collection of perceptions. People are and will always be beyond any role they could possibly take on. The strife between Mercury and Mars and a lunar opposition is a reminder of how most of the things by which we define ourselves are constructs. Let your heart radiate past those limits.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). What gifts would you give yourself if you had an unlimited array to choose from? You’ll try something you’ve been interested in for a while. This is a small slice just to give you a taste. Even so, it’s enough to find out if this is really for you.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You inspire curiosity. People will ask for explanations they might not understand, and that’s OK. To articulate your process is a chance to get it straight in your own head. So it’s worth doing for you, and don’t expect others to get it right away, or ever.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Your reserve is appropriate. It may be too much to add extra information, emotion or plot to the story. You won’t regret keeping it very simple. Also, to witness the contentment of another will bring a fulfilling, residual contentment.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It’s not enough to achieve a result. You want to know that you can recreate the achievement anytime you need to. You’re looking for a consistent process, not a flash in the pan. Trial and error will get you there.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). There are many versions of the truth. You can try on a point of view just like trying on a jacket. Much depends on finding the right fit. The tone of your day depends on picking a version that keeps you energized.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your creature comforts must be addressed — if not now, then soon. Until your inner animal is soothed, little else will matter to you. You know what you need, but you don’t always take the time to get it. Prioritize yourself.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). When you want to make yourself a little happier, your go-to move is to do something for someone else. To provide a moment of sweetness, a thoughtful surprise or anything in the realm is to gladden your own heart in the process.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). To make a decision requires energy. Fewer options means less energy expended. Avoid “decision fatigue” by limiting your options. If there are no rules, that’s your chance to make them up.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). It’s one of those days when you’re open and more impressionable than usual, which is a real plus if you can be around people of exemplary character and remarkable talent. If you can’t do it in person, then seek inspiration through media, especially reading.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Take pride in the fact that you attract the kind of people who enjoy a surprising life and know how to keep things interesting for themselves and others. So don’t forget to ask what they are up to today.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The numbers seem to be on your side. You’ll hit the targets you want to hit. Maybe some would call it arbitrary, but these numbers mean something to you, and because of that, seeing the right ones in a row will bring a smile to your face.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Many mistakes get made in the relentless pursuit of external validation in the form of money. As the ancient poet Horace wrote, “All for a seat down front at some bad play?” You’ll avoid the mistakes as you let love be not only your purpose and fuel but also your reward.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 6). You’ll act as a beacon, welcome people into your world and share your thought processes and your hopes. Others will be fortified by the way you articulate things and the heart you give it. This is how hope spreads and makes a difference. More highlights: inspired trades, a big celebration for a relationship milestone and the advancement of a business interest that will feed many. Aries and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 10, 12, 2, 25 and 44.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: The enduring grace of Venus-ruled Libra is exemplified in the work of movie star Carole Lombard, who was among the highest-paid actresses in the 1930s. Lombard famously wed Clark Gable before her tragic death in a plane crash near Las Vegas. Her natal Pisces moon is a highlight she shares with many great actors. Pisces is the most empathetic of influences, and Pisces moon people slip easily into a character’s mindset.
