Torino set new Ricci asking price for Milan and Man City after contract extension

Despite putting pen to paper on a new and improved contract at the beginning of January, Samuele Ricci could still be on his way out of Torino in the coming months, as a series of top clubs across Europe continue to chase his signature.

According to reports in Italy, Torino are still prepared to sell Ricci during the summer transfer window, but the asking price has increased following the 23-year-old’s contract extension on January 2.

Among the clubs interested in signing Ricci are Milan, Manchester City and even Juventus according to Tuesday’s updates.

Tuttosport report that Torino are hoping for an ‘auction’ between several clubs, which might increase the eventual selling fee, but the starting price for the likes of Milan and Man City is expected to be in the region of €40m.

Reports before Ricci’s contract extension suggested that the fee would be somewhere in the region of €30m.

The Italy international is not expected to be sold during the January transfer window, but he could be allowed to leave Turin in the summer should an appropriate offer arrive.
