UNC Basketball program makes an in-home visit to see this five-star talent

Date:

The fall recruiting period is off and rolling!

College coaches have been traveling across the country to visit their top recruiting targets, making it known just how much their program wants them to join their team.

Hubert Davis, Brad Frederick, and the UNC basketball program have been very active in the opening days of the fall recruiting period. After splitting up on day one to visit numerous recruiting targets, Davis and Frederick took a trip together to Atlanta, Georgia, to conduct an in-home visit with five-star forward Caleb Wilson.

Wilson, a 6-foot-9 standout from the Class of 2025 has been rather busy this week (which was expected). First, Wilson and his family hosted BYU for an in-home visit and proceeded to host the Tar Heels coaching staff the following day.

The No. 4-ranked player in the Class of 2025 (according to 247Sports Composite) shared the photo below, taken during his visit from the Tar Heels.

This week is very telling of how college programs across the country are currently handling their respective recruiting processes. For the UNC basketball program, they have seemed to really prioritize Wilson in his recruitment, taking the trip to his hometown to prove that notion.

The UNC basketball program has been recruiting Wilson for quite some time (dating back to at least May of 2023 when they extended an offer his way). Now with the clock ticking on his recruitment, the Tar Heels coaching staff is making every effort to prove to this elite talent that Chapel Hill is the right place for him.
