UNC Basketball: Where in the world is the coaching staff today?!

Date:

We really hope that Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program’s coaching staff are signed up for some frequent-flyer miles!

It feels like the Tar Heels coaching staff has been all over the country since the fall open recruiting period started up last week, making stops to visit some of their top recruitng targets. Tuesday morning was no different, with the staff making a cross-country trip to visit the top overall player in the Class of 2025.

Hubert Davis and two assistant coaches traveled to Utah Prep to check in on five-star AJ Dybantsa. This in-state visit comes just 10 days before Dybantsa is set to officially visit Chapel Hill, beginning on September 20.

Dybantsa is the top-ranked prospect in the Class of 2025, which says a lot given how much star power this recruiting class possesses. A 6-foot-9 forward, Dybantsa has plenty of suitors, including the UNC basketball program and essentially every other top-tier college program, but the “frontrunner” at this point may not end up being a Blue Blood after all.

There’s some belief that BYU is the team to watch with Dybantsa, but hey, crazier things have happened on the recruiting trail. This in-state visit, along with his visit to Chapel Hill in the near future, could go a long way in helping guide the top overall prospect in the class to commit to the UNC basketball program.

At this point, we all need to write down each visit the UNC basketball program’s coaching staff has gone on, given they are likely on the move once
