Updating Iowa State rankings in men’s college basketball polls

Iowa State men’s basketball extended its winning streak to six when it defeated rival Iowa in the Cy-Hawk game on Thursday and Omaha on Sunday afternoon.

The Cyclones (9-1) will have one last non-conference game on Sunday, when they host visiting Morgan State for a noon CT tip-off in their lone game of the week.

Iowa stayed at No. 3 in the USA TODAY Sports men’s basketball coaches’ poll. Previously, the Cyclones moved up to No. 3.

In the AP poll, Iowa State also remained at No. 3. Last week, the Cyclones rose to No. 3 in the AP poll for the first time since 1957.
