Utah (4-1-1) weathered a stingy Boston defence and a stout performance by Jeremy Swayman to snatch their first home overtime win in franchise history.
Boston (3-2-1) opened the scoring with Cole Koepke’s goal midway through the second period, before Utah rookie defenceman Vladislav Kolyachanok sped in off the far wing to lift a backhand shot over Swayman to send the Delta Center into bedlam.
Utah’s next game of the homestand will be Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators.
