Bayern were off the mark when a trademark cross from Klara Bühl was headed home by the prolific Pernille Harder.

Just seven minutes later and the home side were awarded a penalty, which was hit low and hard into the bottom left corner by Giulia Gwinn.

The Bundesliga side moved above Arsenal to top the Group C table with that win.

Manchester City see off Hammarby

Scorers: Blindkilde Brown 47′, Fujino 80′

Manchester City kept their perfect UWCL record with a straightforward 2-0 win over Hammarby,

And if the home side laboured through the first half, then they came out completely revived for the second as they made the breakthrough almost immediately.

And it was 21-year-old Laura Blindkilde Brown who popped up in the box to finish after a pull-back from Mary Fowler.

With ten minutes to go, Aoba Fujino doubled the lead with a low diving header, effectively sealing the three points.

Arsenal hammer Juventus in Turin

Scorers: Maanum 38′, Blackstenius 75′, Caldentey 80′, Foord 87′

Arsenal delivered a ruthless performance as they beat Juventus by a 4-0 scoreline.

Renée Slegers’ side dominated the early stages of the game and got their reward when Caitlin Foord slipped Frida Maanum in to supply the finish after a superb piece of team play.

Emily Fox almost doubled Arsenal’s lead with an instinctive first-time hit that hit the underside of the bar and bounced out.

A solo run and ruthless finish from Stina Blackstenius as she shifted momentum from her right to her left put Arsenal two goals to the good with 15 minutes to play.

The win was sealed when Mariona Caldentey made a run into the box, found herself unmarked and lifted her shot high into the back of the net.

With minutes to go, Kyra Cooney-Cross put in a dangerous ball right across the face of goal, allowing Foord to tap beyond Juve ‘keeper Pauline Peyraud Magnin.

Juventus will face Arsenal in London in the reverse of this tie on November 21st.

Barcelona demolish St Pölten

Scorers: Pajor 32′ 40′, Nazareth 38′, Walsh 42′, Pina 45′, 52′ (PEN)

Five goals in 13 minutes saw Barcelona kill off St. Pölten as the scoreline ended up at 7-0.

After 32 minutes, a series of neat passes from Barcelona allowed Ona Batlle to put a low cross into the box, for Ewa Pajor to slide in at the near post and guide the ball home.

From that moment, the floodgates opened, as Kika Nazareth delivered a simple finish when she found herself unmarked in the box, before Aitana Bonmatí landed a simply brilliant finish into the back of the net with her left foot.

It was four in just ten minutes for Barça when Kiera Walsh launched a rocket of a shot from the edge of the box right into the top corner.

And just before the half-time whistle blew, a fifth was added as Clàudia Pina stabbed home a high finish at the far post from a Vicky López cross.

Into the second half and things went from bad to worse for St. Pölten as Barcelona were awarded a penalty which was converted by Pina.

The rout was completed by Caroline Graham Hansen netted Barça’s seventh after she combined well with Patri.
