This weekend is a jammed packed weekend on the Virginia Tech campus for a number of reasons. The football team is hosting Rutgers in a non-conference game as well as a ton of recruits, while Mike Young and his staff will be hosting three key Class of 2025 recruits. That’s where we will begin with the latest Virginia Tech Basketball Recruiting News.
Currently, four-star forward Sin’Cere Jones and four-star center Christian Gurdak have committed to the Hokies and Young in the Class of 2025. There are still a couple of spots open in the class and this weekend, three recruits are going to be in Blacksburg visiting.
Guards Kayden Mingo and Simon Walker we highlighted earlier this week and joining them will be four-star wing Jordan Scott, who was the Virginia 6A Player of the Year last season. He was tabbed over the summer as a rising player in the class and one of the top wings on the AAU circuit. He recently reduced his list of offers to three, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, and Maryland.
Four-star Class of 2025 point guard Chance Mallory committed to Virginia Friday over Virginia Tech, while also holding offers from Villanova, Clemson, Tennessee, and Miami. It should be of little surprise that Mallory picked the Cavaliers as he is a Charlottesville native
247Sports recently handed out rankings for women’s basketball and a pair of Virginia Tech commits for first-year coach Megan Duffy picked up four-star rankings in the Class of 2025.
Amani Jenkins and Katie Sears each picked up a four-star ranking and both are Top 100 players. Jenkins, a forward who committed in June, is the No. 69th player ranked in the class and Sears, a highly-touted point guard who committed in May, is not too far behind at No. 72.
