It’s a week of firsts for the PGA Tour in 2025.
The first tournament of the season, The Sentry, is taking place on the Plantation Course at Kapalua.
During Sunday’s final round, fans were treated to the first albatross of 2025, courtesy of Taylor Pendrith.
It was not only the first albatross of 2025, but it’s also the first time in the nearly three-decades history of this event on this course that someone recorded an albatross.
More details from the PGA Tour:
Taylor Pendrith had an albatross on the par-5 fifth hole from 203 yards, marking the first at The Sentry since the event moved to Kapalua in 1999. It is the 142nd on Tour since 1983. There were five last season, most recently by Nick Hardy at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship (R2/No. 17).
