Coach Greg Gard reflects on Wisconsin basketball’s win over Arizona
On a night when the Badgers’ 2014 and 2015 Final Four teams and former coach Bo Ryan were honored, Wisconsin upset No. 9 Arizona at the Kohl Center Friday.
After victories over then-No. 9 Arizona and Texas-Rio Grande Valley, the No. 19 Wisconsin Badgers play away from the Kohl Center for the first time this season with a pair of games this weekend at the Greenbrier Tipoff in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
The Badgers face Central Florida Friday afternoon and LSU or Pittsburgh on Sunday. UCF defeated then-No. 14 (now No. 23) Texas A&M in its season-opener.
UW’s John Tonje scored a career-high 41 points in the upset victory over Arizona and John Blackwell followed with a career-best 30 against Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
