What Ruben Amorim Will Demand From PSG Target Amid Man Utd Uncertainty

Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United could be decided during the 2024-25 season, with Ruben Amorim now in charge. However, one pundit suggests the 27-year-old may need to leave Old Trafford to make the most of his prime years.

Last month, TEAMtalk reported that Paris Saint-Germain have renewed its interest in Rashford. While the obstacles that stopped a summer move remain, the Ligue 1 club might make another push to sign him next year.

Under Amorim, who took over after the FIFA international break, Rashford is hopeful for a fresh start and the chance to rediscover his best form, according to TEAMtalk.

While speaking to Football Insider, former Manchester United club chief Mick Brown stated that Rashford needs to prove he is willing to work hard on and off the pitch.

He also notes that Amorim will expect more from the club’s former youth academy player if he hopes to retain his spot in the Man United starting lineup.

“He needs to see more from Rashford,” Brown told Football Insider. “If you look at the way his Sporting side plays, the wingers are very high-energy, pressing and tracking back and working hard on and off the ball. You won’t get a more energetic front three than they have at Sporting.

“For whatever reason, we haven’t seen that from Marcus recently. Amad has stepped up recently [Alejandro] Garnacho had a kick up the backside when he was left out, but came on and made a difference. Now Rashford need to start showing he can provide that same type of energy.

“So it’s a question of which two of those three he goes with, and that’ll be up to them and their performances in training. Amorim has the options available to him to play that sort of football, but they all, and Rashford in particular, need to prove to him that they’re willing to work hard to make it work.”

If Rashford fails to impress the new manager, expect the rumors linking him to a departure from Old Trafford to get louder.
