Where is Cincinnati Bearcats basketball ranked in latest AP Top 25 poll?

Two games into the 2024-25 campaign, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team has a new ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. After a 2-0 start Coach Wes Miller’s squad is No. 17, up three spots from their last measure.

The Big 12 holds six spots in the new poll with Kansas leading at No. 1, Iowa State No. 7, Houston No. 8, Arizona No. 9, Baylor No. 12 and the Bearcats 17th. Texas Tech, BYU, Kansas State, UCF and Arizona State also received votes.

Xavier received 78 votes which would put them 29th. The Dayton Flyers received one vote.

The Bearcats are 13th in the KenPom.com ratings, one of seven Big 12 teams in the top 25 of that statistical measure.

UC returns home to face Nicholls Friday night at 7 p.m. The following Tuesday, Nov. 19 they travel to Northern Kentucky University.

Fifth-year forward Jillian Hayes had 30 points and 11 rebounds, her 25th career double-double as UC downed Delaware State 83-46 Sunday afternoon.
