Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa): He has to go in as the only goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet this week.

Tariq Lamptey (Brighton & Hove Albion): Scored a cracker at Leicester and he is a really strange player. You can see the potential and ability but you are always hoping that he stays fit.

Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa): Solid performance in a 1-0 win over Southampton and I think he is becoming the mainstay in that Villa defence that keeps changing.

Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace): He has shown the potential to be a really good player and over the past three or four weeks he has really started to impose himself and look like he is getting a good understanding of the Premier League and his own position. Scored a fine set-piece header against Manchester City.

Antonee Robinson (Fulham): He was excellent against Arsenal especially playing against Bukayo Saka. I was really impressed by him.

Will Hughes (Crystal Palace): I have been waiting for my mate Hughesy all season. Big Casper. This weekend he showed everyone how good he is with two assists. He was excellent in midfield against Manchester City.

Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea): Over the past two, three or four weeks he is starting to show why Chelsea have paid £100m for him. He scored but if you watched the game against Spurs as intently as I did you’ll have seen his all-round play is just miles better. He is getting involved, doing the ugly stuff as well and showing those shoots of quality.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford): Every time I think he is going to slow down he just shows that quality and self belief – this time with a goal and assist against Newcastle. I am really interested to see what happens with him in the near future. If he stays at Brentford he will get marked out of the game but if he moves on, how good could this guy be?

Cole Palmer (Chelsea): Mr Cool himself. I know he scored two penalties in the win against Spurs but this pick has nothing to do with them. When you watch this man, he is just better than everybody. He looks like he is playing in a school playground. He has a freedom and level of quality that has been unmatched this season. ‘Don’t worry about the formation or tactics, just give me the ball and get out of my way’ is his attitude. It is so refreshing to see.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham): Another massive goal, the winner at home to Wolves. He is the West Ham captain and he keeps turning up in the big games.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City): The governor, the oldest man in the game, Vardy just keeps doing it. Sparked Leicester’s late comeback to save a point against Brighton with a goal and assist. He is showing no signs of letting up and it is brilliant to see. Under Ruud van Nistelrooy it only looks like he is getting better and better.

Julen Lopetegui (West Ham): I nearly didn’t give it to him. West Ham should be beating teams like Wolves but there was a lot of pressure on Lopetegui. I have given him a bit of stick but it was a massive win that potentially keeps him in a job for the next few weeks.
