There are only a handful of hours left until the summer transfer window closes and the future of Carlos Soler has yet to be settled. West Ham United appear to be the Spaniard’s next destination, but there are hurdles for a deal to get done.
Leaving PSG would be a wise move for Soler as he looks to catch the attention of Spain manager Luis de la Fuente before the 2026 FIFA World Cup. During the 2023-24 season, Soler played 26 games across all competitions for the French club, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Soler is keen on joining West Ham. He also mentions that technical director Tim Steidten and Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui are working hard to make the move happen.
Moreover, Romano notes that talks are still ongoing, and West Ham is expected to make a strong effort to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes.
Le Parisien reports that Soler is on hold as the London club needs to wrap up a few other deals before finalizing his transfer for €23 million, including bonuses.

Soler has been linked to other clubs in the past, so it will be interesting to see if there’s a last-minute swoop on Friday before the window closes.
