Women’s Basketball announces non-conference matchups – University of Maine Athletics

ORONO, Maine – University of Maine women’s basketball head coach Amy Vachon has unveiled the team’s non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season.

 

The 13-game non-conference slate will feature five home games, a trip to take on Indiana, several regional match-ups, and a two-game stop at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Maine will open the season with a two-game homestand as it hosts La Salle on Nov. 4 before welcoming Penn to Memorial Gymnasium on Nov. 10.

 

The Black Bears first road meeting of the season comes on Nov. 14 when they travel to take on Rhode Island before returning home to play host to Harvard on Nov. 17.

 

Maine meets former conference rival Boston University on the road on Nov. 21 before a showdown in Orono against Quinnipiac on Nov. 24.

 

A four-game road sweep begins on Nov. 26 with a stop at Stonehill before the Black Bears head to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers on Dec. 1. Maine completes its Indiana trip when it meets Purdue on Dec. 4 before concluding the road trip at Saint Joseph’s (PA) on Dec. 9.

 

Maine hosts Bates on Dec. 21 before closing out the non-conference slate with two games at Fairleigh Dickinson. Maine will take on Coppin State in a neutral site affair on Dec. 28 before taking on host Fairleigh Dickinson Dec. 29.

 

All game times, promotional dates, and the America East conference schedule will be released at a later date.

 

Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are on sale now and can be purchased online at GoBlackBears.com/tickets, by phone at 207-581-BEAR, or in-person at the Alfond Arena box office during regular business hours. 

 

Single game tickets will go on sale on Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.
