The Weirton Chapter of Church Women United celebrated World Community Day during its meeting held Nov. 1 at Shiloh Apostolic Church. This year’s theme was entitled United to Serve. In attendance were 25 women representing nine churches. Diane Pastoric presented healthy snack items to Deronda Bruich of the Weirton Christian Center. Heather Latt and Lisa Indermuhle from the Wheeling YMCA’s S.T.E.P. Program gave a talk about sex trafficking, followed by a question and answer session. Lunch was served by the Shiloh Church Women. The next meeting will be held Dec. 6. Those taking part in the donation included, from left, Joyce Summers, President Rebecca Turner, Bruich and Diane Pastoric.
