World Travel Holdings and Southwest Airlines joined forces to create Southwest Cruises, which can be booked through SouthwestCruises.com.

The booking site, which is powered by World Travel Holdings, enables Southwest Rapid Rewards members to “earn one Rapid Rewards point for every dollar spent on cruise bookings (excluding taxes, port charges, and insurance), making it easier for loyal customers to rack up points and enjoy future travel experiences,” the company said.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Southwest Airlines to our family of partner brands and look forward to providing remarkable cruise experiences along with even more ways to earn points for their loyal members,” said George Andreopoulos, World Travel Holdings’ vice president of business development, partner brands.

“By joining forces with such a trusted airline, we’re now offering Southwest customers the ability to book cruises, giving customers even more travel options.”

Added Southwest Airlines Vice President of Product Development Phil Gouel:

“Southwest is focused on enhancing our products to give customers more choices and flexibility.

“Customers told us that cruises are one of the top travel experiences that they’re looking for, and our new partnership with World Travel Holdings gives Customers access to all major cruise lines to complement their travel with Southwest.”
