Wyndham Clark pays for golf for military veterans at Arizona night golf course Grass Clippings on Veterans Day

Grass Clippings Rolling Hills, Arizona’s first fully lit 18-hole golf course, is joining the roster of courses across the U.S. honoring American military veterans.

On Veterans Day on Monday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the short course in Tempe is offering free golf to those who served, and it’s all courtesy of the 2023 U.S. Open champion.

“It’s the least I can do to show my appreciation for the men and women who have worn the uniform and protected our country. Your service and sacrifice do not go unnoticed and I am happy to provide this small gesture of thanks alongside the team at Grass Clippings Rollling Hills,” said Wyndham Clark in a news release sent by the golf course. A course official confirmed that Clark bought out the course for five hours so he could pay tribute.

Those interested can call the course to book a tee time.

The golf course is a par 59 measuring 3,428 yards during the day but becomes an all-par-3 when the lights come on at night, turning the course into a par 54 at 2,712 yards.
