No joke: Astrologically, this next year is going to be a little bit chaotic. The astrology of 2025 and your zodiac sign’s love horoscope invites not only hectic aspects, but also some very rare cosmic moments—creating romantic situations that we haven’t yet experienced in decades… or possibly ever. This can create opportunities for new budding relationships, provide tension in current relationships, or possibly cause some reminiscence for an old partnership. Now is the time to look at the upcoming schedule to make sure you’re prepared. Read on to find out what’s going to happen in your love life in 2025.
Each year, we can be certain of a few things happening in the astrological calendar. For example, every year includes about four Mercury retrogrades, two sets of eclipses, about three or four supermoons, and a few prosperous aspects such as a lovely new moon or a Venus-Jupiter conjunction. This year, you can expect all of that with some sprinkling of bi-yearly transits, decades-long endings, and never-before-seen moments.
In terms of love, there are a few very important transits to take note of. First up, we have a Venus retrograde occurring from March 1 to April 24. This bi-yearly transit skipped 2024 to grace us with its presence in 2025. But what makes this particular Venus retrograde important is that in its latter half, it will travel in Pisces, near the North Node. This means that Venus, the planet of love and partnership, will be crossing over a very karmic, very important point in the sky a few times—which will cause us to really re-evaluate our partnerships.
The second major thing will affect some more than others, and that is: the four eclipses. As I mentioned before, four eclipses is typical. But what’s atypical about these eclipses is that we’re starting a brand-new 18-month eclipse cycle as the North and South Nodes move into Pisces and Virgo. Consider this “cycle” a new life lesson chapter. So, if it’s falling in your fifth or seventh house, it has the potential to affect your love life.
Finally, we have two major ingresses (when a planet moves into a new sign) happening in 2025 that will alter the romantic landscape. On March 30, Neptune enters Aries. On May 24, Saturn enters Aries. On July 7, Uranus enters Gemini. These outer planets don’t move very fast, so when they enter new signs, the energy shift can be felt collectively. In the love world, Neptune and Saturn’s presence in Aries makes love feel more like a battlefield than a fuzzy place to land. It can prompt competition and impatience, but it can also make us more brave and bold. Uranus in Gemini is a cheeky placement, so we’re more likely to overshare, say too much, or just hide our feelings behind something witty.

Aries
For the past year and a half, you’ve been hit hard with eclipses in your houses of self and love. And with the North Node traveling through your house of self, it’s likely that you’ve allowed yourself to take a step back from love these days — remembering what you need in partnership. This year, the Nodes are moving into different signs, but that doesn’t mean you’re let off the hook yet. You’ll still need to endure a Venus retrograde, starting March 1, in the parts of your chart that are all about the self and the subconscious. Consider it an ego vs. id conversation in the love realm. Starting in your sign, this Venus retrograde asks you to reflect on the love lessons you learned in the past year and a half. Then, as it moves into Pisces on March 27, you will be asked to dip into your subconscious with questions like: What do you really need in order to feel valued? What do you hide away? In childhood, what do you think you lacked?
For three out of the four eclipses, you’re being asked what you can do to better how you value yourself in service to others. This includes partnership. How have you given too much of yourself to others? In what way do you actually carry the responsibility of your partner’s growth? There is one eclipse that’s about you as a person, and that’s the new moon eclipse in Aries on March 29. But since it’s a new moon, it provides an opportunity to completely re-invent yourself. It’s time to decide who you are as an individual… even while in partnership.
All in all, March is a heavy-hitting month. But by the latter half of the year, particularly as Neptune and Saturn move into your sign, you’re going to feel so much more empowered and ready to take action. You learned a lot last year, so the second part of 2025 is all about free living! Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Taurus
If you’re single, 2025 is the year where you’ll learn some valuable dating lessons — which may end up leading you to the partner of your dreams next year. If you’re in a partnership, 2025 will be a reminder that fun needs to be added in partnership to keep it afloat (and that friends are loved ones too!). It all starts on March 14, when you experience a full moon lunar eclipse in your house of dating, sex, and friendship. This could cause a ghosting situation — one where you feel a little bruised about how much love you gave to someone who didn’t value it. The next full moon eclipse, on September 7, may continue this lesson a little bit with an evergrowing rift between you and a friend. But by the last eclipse, on September 21, you come to the realization that you are in charge of how much effort you give to others, and that if your efforts aren’t reciprocated, the fault doesn’t solely rest on your shoulders.
For the second half of November (starting November 20), you’ll experience a Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, happening in your house of love and partnership. This, and the holidays, could prompt old flames to come scampering back after years of no contact. Scorpio doesn’t do second chances, and perhaps you should stick with that energy.
There are some possibilities for romance, however. That Mercury retrograde occurs on the same day as a new moon in your house of partnership — which could show you a healthier partnership option in comparison to the old flame.
March and September appear to provide major “love lessons”, but November is when your efforts are rewarded with new possibilities. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Gemini
This upcoming year doesn’t seem to be brimming with romantic or love aspects on your end, Gemini. But don’t feel too badly about that; it also doesn’t mean that you’re going to be hit with tough love lessons or heartbreak. No, this year is more about deepening your relationship with friends and family, and also stepping into your own creative and rebellious power.
However, there are still some opportunities for love! Up until June 9, Jupiter will be moving through your house of self, ego, and identity. In general, this shines a lucky light on you as a person—as you’ll be attracting all sorts of prosperous opportunities and karmic meet-cutes. Jupiter loves to provide serendipitous moments, and its main focus will be on you.
On July 7, Uranus enters your sign, prompting you to share your quirky, unique energy with the world. On August 26 and 29, Uranus will make sextiles to Venus and Neptune, respectively. These are wonderful days to go on dates, get lost in love and really dive into your romantic side.
Finally, a new moon on December 20 in your opposite sign, Sagittarius, decorates the landscape with a lovely, optimistic moment for you and a special someone. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Cancer
Starting off the year, your overall energy (and sex drive) is at an all-time low. And you have Mars retrograde in your sign to thank for that. This kind of “meh” and slow energy is going to keep you turned off until around February 23. If you’re just not ~in the mood~ when your partner is, don’t worry! By March, you’ll be back to your cuddly, sensual self.
On June 9, Jupiter enters your sign, which gives you a full boost of energy, optimism, and magnetic energy for everyone around you. Seriously, you’re going to be drawing suitors in like bees to honey! This is especially true when Jupiter connects with the sun on June 24. The Jupiter cazimi is a lucky day for all, but for you? It’s one of the best days for feeling the love from everyone around you. And even if you don’t feel the love from the outside, it’s a great day for self-love. Give yourself a glow-up. Play hookey. Do what you want.
But that’s nothing compared to August 11, which is the absolute best day for love for a Cancer this year! On this day, Venus and Jupiter make a conjunction in your sign. And when the planet of love and the planet of abundance connect? It’s like fireworks in your love life. If you’re single, be on the lookout; the person drawn to you on this day just might be “the one”! If you’re in a partnership, this is a perfect day to do something sweet together. It’s definitely going to deepen your bond and create lasting memories. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Leo
Similar to Cancer, your energy and sex drive will be completely shut down, thanks to Mars retrograde in your sign. Up until January 6, when Mars retrograde moves into Cancer, you’re likely to feel sluggish, lethargic, and honestly just “meh.” Sure, it may be post-holiday bloat… or it may be that Mars retrograde is really slowing down your interest in sex. Honestly, this sluggishness may wane a bit all the way until Mars turns direct on February 23, since Mars’ sexual passion will be absorbed by the part of your chart that talks about getting lost.
But not to fret, Leo! Love opportunities are definitely present this year. Use the January 29 Aquarius new moon to add a little more romance in your life. This new moon is happening in your house of love and partnership, and also makes a loose conjunction with the communication planet, Mercury. More than likely, you’ll find a need to share your feelings with someone special. Who knows? This could be the start of something seriously long-term.
Be on the lookout in November for potential exes (or energy vampire friends) crawling back into your life. From November 9 until November 19, Mercury retrograde will be traveling in your dating and friendship house. This retrograde is about belief systems. When you’re not sure whether to give them another chance, consider this: Do you two still hold similar values and beliefs? Do you still have the same idea about what friendship or dating is? Virgo
Get ready for a shift in your love life, Virgo. The next 18-month eclipse cycle is falling in your houses of self and partnership. Rather, we might consider this axis to be “self-love” and “outer love.” So, the eclipses happening here will likely provide karmic situations, meet-cutes, and life-changing moments in your love story. Diving a bit deeper into what that could mean, the Nodes will be traveling through Virgo and Pisces, opposites on the zodiac wheel. However, the North Node (the Node that represents our “future path”) will be traveling in Pisces, or your house of love and partnership. So, for you as a Virgo, this next year is the beginning of placing importance on partnership. It’s possible that you’ve been distracted, busy, or uninterested in love up until this point. But in 2025, that’s about to change.
On March 14, the full moon lunar eclipse hits in your sign. This prompts you to consider ways in which you’ve altered your own personality in partnership. How have you been inauthentic or hiding your true self? This is a moment where you will relinquish the inauthenticity… which, of course, could cause a rift in your partnership if you’re dating someone.
The transiting Nodes (even when not forming eclipses) can provide some key points in the overall eclipse story, when you follow them in the sky. On April 1, Venus retrograde will conjoin the North Node, providing key love insight from a previous relationship. On July 20, Mars makes a conjunction with the South Node, in your sign, which really helps you shed your skin and embrace a new version of yourself in partnership.
Then, on September 7, a new moon eclipse arrives in your house of love and partnership. If you’re single, this is a potentially big moment for you. Someone may share their true feelings, a new love interest could pop up out of nowhere. Honestly, anything can happen.
And finally, on September 21, this love story starts making a little more sense, as the new moon eclipse hits your house of self and ego. Considering the major hits you’ve had in your love areas already, we might assume that this indicates a period of major self-growth and self-worth. Finally, you’re able to give yourself some of the love that you’ve been looking for all along. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Libra
Libra is associated with partnership and love, so love is inherently in your DNA! But your love life will be highlighted even more than normal when Venus turns retrograde in your house of love and partnership. From March 1 to March 27, Venus retrograde will be traveling in your opposite sign, Aries. Venus retrograde tends to bring us backwards in our love story. So, it’s likely that your mind will be replaying sweet (or perhaps not-so-sweet) memories of lovers lost or past relationships. It may even be that some of these past connections reach back out to you during this period. This is a key time for exes to slide back into those DMs.
Remember: Venus retrograde is not a period for action! It’s a period for contemplation. Allow yourself to flow through memories and feelings, without doing something you might regret later.
Never fear: The time for action will happen later in the year. On March 30, Neptune enters Aries, and the house of love. This is such a lovely backdrop for falling in love with someone new, or falling back in love with a partner. Use the rest of the year to be creative on dates, get romantic, and don the rose-colored glasses.
On May 24, Saturn enters Aries, and your house of love. This offers an even better backdrop for partnership since Saturn represents stability and things that are long-term. If you’re wondering when the “next step” will happen in your relationship—whether that’s an engagement, moving in, or just labeling the partnership—Saturn’s movement through this area of your chart will make it happen. Scorpio
While the part of your chart that dictates partnership isn’t heavily affected this year, the areas of sex and dating will be highlighted for sure. And that starts on February 1, when the planet of love, Venus, makes a conjunction with both Neptune and the North Node in your house of sex and dating. If you’re single and waiting for the “right time” to get back on the horse, this provides an amazing opportunity to do so. The fact that the North Node is involved offers some special help from the Universe to bring around a karmic match—if even for a night.
Then, of course, Venus retrograde enters Pisces and this sex and dating house. Because this isn’t about long-term connections, and it’s more about casual flings, you may end up hearing from fleeting love connections of the past. The reason? It’s more about helping you understand how different you are in partnership now than you were back then. These random rendezvous or conversations only aid your awareness of growth in love.
In addition to this, Mercury retrograde is hitting the same house as well, starting March 29. This has a similar feeling to Venus retrograde in this house. However, considering Mercury is about communication and conversation (as opposed to love) this retrograde helps you better express yourself in partnership when you’re just “not feeling it.”
Finally, the best day for you will be May 17, when Uranus makes a conjunction with the sun in your house of love and partnership. Expect the unexpected, but know that it’ll be good. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Sagittarius
First of all, Jupiter is moving through your house of love and partnership all the way until June 9. That in and of itself spells out prosperity in love. The first half of the year may provide lucky, sweet moments in partnership that bolster your confidence in your relationship and your faith in love in general. Overall, it appears that you’re feeling pretty good about love—whether you’re in a relationship or not! Jupiter does that; it’s all about positivity. Since Jupiter entered Gemini on May 5, 2024, you’ve also likely been dismantling any self-limiting beliefs about love and partnership as well.
In addition to this, there are a few key love moments happening in 2025 for all the Sagittarians out there—all happening around the second half of the year. For starters, on May 18, Jupiter in your house of love and partnership, makes a square to the Nodes in your houses of family and career. It could be that you’re facing some issues with navigating partnership and family.
On May 29, Mercury and the sun conjoin in Gemini, and your house of love and partnership. This provides the opportunity for you to share how you’re really feeling with someone. Or if you’re partnered, a really helpful conversation about your expectations in the relationship may occur here.
Finally, on July 7, Uranus enters your house of love! All there is to say about that is to expect the unexpected for the next few years. Uranus doesn’t play by the rules and really likes to shake things up. If you’re in a partnership already during this time, Uranus may throw a few wrenches your way. This should be fine, however, if you’re a strong couple. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Capricorn
Starting off the year, love may be a little bit slow. On January 6, Mars retrograde enters your house of love and partnership—and will remain there until February 23. Since Mars represents passion and sex, it’s likely that both of these things will be off the table in your love life until March. Mars retrograde pushes “pause” on things. And for you, it wants you to take a closer look at where you can be sweeter, more sensitive, and more empowering in partnership. This is a great time to have discussions with your partner about what they crave in bed, how you both can be more attentive, and how to better the partnership in general. If you’re single, it’s likely that you’re busy with other things right now anyway! Wait until the good stuff happens later.
Starting June 9, is when your love luck starts to turn. This is when Jupiter enters your house of love and partnership—kickstarting positive new belief systems and uplifting moments with you and your partner. It gets even better on June 24, when Jupiter and the sun make a conjunction—one of the luckiest days of the year—and it’s lucky in love, for you! Keep your eyes peeled for possibilities. What’s more, there’s a new moon happening in your love house on June 25, which stirs double the chance for love!
On August 11, Venus and Jupiter make a sweet and uplifting conjunction in your house of love. This is the ideal day to fall in love, if there ever was one. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Aquarius
Love will feel a bit slow for you at the beginning of the year, Aquarius. And the reason for that is because Mars, the planet of passion and sex, is retrograde in your house of love. This lethargy in love will last only up until January 6, when it traverses back into Cancer, but even still the slow energy will be felt in your partnerships.
On April 26, Mars and Pluto create an opposition in the “me vs. we” axis of your chart. Since Pluto uncovers secrets and is highlighting your “me” side, this contentious opposition is likely to make you think about how truly invested you are in the partnership that you’re in. Does it feel like the end-all-be-all? If you’re not in a partnership, then this could simply bring questions around who you’re dating. Are you entertaining something that just isn’t right for you? Or worse… something that is toxic?
On May 29, a Mercury cazimi in your house of dating and sex may offer some clarity around a “situationship.”
Then, from July 17 to August 11, Mercury will be retrograde in Leo, a.k.a. your seventh house of partnerships. This will be a jam-packed few weeks full of questions around any current relationships and possible distractions arising from the woodworks. Exes are popping up, old flings coming out of nowhere, hotties hitting on you and making you wonder. All in all, July and August may be a little confusing in the love department. Just sit with things and allow them to pass.
In fact, July 31, with the Mercury retrograde cazimi, may just provide the insight you’ve been looking for in love. Expect answers to arise here. Read your full 2025 horoscope.

Pisces
Oh, Pisces. You’re being hit a little harder this year, thanks to Venus retrograde in your sign and the Nodes and eclipses covering your “me vs. we” axis of love. First thing’s first: From January 6 to February 23, Mars will be retrograde in your house of dating. You’re usually one to slow ghost someone or Irish goodbye at a party anyway, but thanks to Mars retrograde here? None of your friends or suitors will see you. Overall, you just don’t have the energy for dating or fun flings right now, and that’s okay!
Then, of course, Venus retrograde hits—first in Aries, and then in your sign. When Venus moves into Pisces on March 27, it’s a period of slow reinvention. You’re considering these things: your “role” in a relationship, your identity in relationship, how you’ve allowed yourself to slip in partnership in the past, and any past partnerships that you still have things to learn from.
We have yet to talk about eclipses, which as stated, will also affect your love life. On March 14, we have a new moon eclipse in Virgo. This is hitting your love and partnership zone, and it’s offering some much needed reprieve to the upcoming cosmic confusion. Considering this is happening near the North Node, the message from this eclipse is to wait for the right person. If they aren’t right, they aren’t worth it. It’s okay to be alone, it’s okay to be single. In fact, at this point, you’re recognizing that it’s preferable to being with someone who isn’t right for you.
On March 29, we have Mercury retrograde entering your sign on March 29. At this point, both Mercury and Venus are retrograde in your sign. And this will last until April 7. During this moment, love should be put on the backburner. Consider, ponder, think… don’t act.
On September 7, a full moon eclipse appears in your sign… allowing you to shed your skin and step into the part of you that feels most authentic. And finally, the year ends with a new moon eclipse in your house of love and partnership, on September 21—a transformative period for love if you haven’t quite settled down with someone yet.
