You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need is your Sun sign! Here’s what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!
A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: FOUR OF WANDS
Sagittarius season brings us confidence and wanderlust—an appetite to go further, explore deeper, and try harder. Mercury retrograde can shoo, because the Four of Wands swoops in to say that this IS a good week for advancing your cause—be it career, personal development, education, or a wider issue you’re supporting. Make headway, reach for the next level, pursue a new goal, ask for more, and apply for the promotion. You can do it, you must do it, you SHALL do it. If any sign has full self-belief and just does things, then it’s Sagittarius. Maybe we should all take a leaf out of their book this week.
ARIES: STRENGTH
Strength reveals that you can handle it! You can deal with whatever life brings, and you know this to be true. Self-belief is vital to your maturity and growing reputation as someone who gets things done (in the right way). You’ve always had all the confidence and courage, but now you’ve grown to add in compassion, mercy, resilience, and patience. All of these have been hard-won, and you should treasure them. You’re quite the character, you know. You really are.
TAURUS: DEATH
Death is all about transformation, a power shift, and rebirth. It’s going to be QUITE the week, Taurus. Are you ready?
It might manifest as something mental or internal, like a change of heart or mindset. It might be a new look or appearance tweak you’ve been considering (do it). It could be something more material and practical like applying for a new role, ending a commitment and pivoting to something else, or even ending a relationship to pursue a new one! You decide.
GEMINI: TWO OF WANDS
You’re a jack of all trades and always have plenty of options spinning on the wheel. However, Gemini, the risk is that you end up not doing justice to any of them because you spread yourself too thinly. Consider this and take it to heart, and take action. Look at your to-do list this week and try to half it. Zoom in on what MUST be done, either because it’s important or urgent (or both). Less is more. Focus on the big rocks.
CANCER: THE SUN
Happy days, Cancer, because The Sun is the tarot’s most positive card, and it sends good fortune and blessings your way. Anything is possible! If you have the confidence to step up to a dream, then the Universe will make things happen to help deliver it to you. Luck works in mysterious ways, but the best chance you’ve got of finding it is by pursuing things you really care about and would give up anything for. Love, money, travel, success, a career promotion, windfalls, new friendships… go for what you want!
LEO: FIVE OF WANDS
Take a beat and notice where there is a lot of ‘noise’ in your realm—where there’s a background thrum of tension or taut nerves. Notice it and then step closer to take a better look at what’s going on. Do not engage in the drama, try to be a silent observer, and take notes. Leo, you’ve got the perspective and insight to figure out the root cause of all of this noise, and to bring a resolution to the table that the others will accept. The Five of Wands sees you getting to the bottom of this squall and bringing peace.
VIRGO: KING OF CUPS
People often underestimate just how shrewd and wise you are. I think because you’re so helpful and willing, they assume you’re altogether too wholesome or too much of a goody-two-shoes to really ‘get’ what makes people tick. Not so. Just because you live your life with a moral code and do your best at all times doesn’t mean you don’t understand the compulsions to do otherwise (or fall prey to them sometimes). Show your vulnerable side to someone this week and build a bond based on mutual honesty and shared confidence. You need to talk, and they need your wise advice, so you can be of great help to each other right now.
LIBRA: THE TOWER
The Tower brings you cosmic wrecking ball energy! Are you ready to wield it wisely? And by that, I mean to push it at something that is fading to finish the job of removing its presence and influence. The Tower is a collapsing force. Sometimes, we have to demolish things to clear the rubble and rebuild on firmer foundations. This is a comeback job. But stage one is all about removal and excavation, so get to it. Go demolish something you don’t want to take into 2025.
SCORPIO: QUEEN OF SWORDS
You really, in truth, only trust yourself, Scorpio. You have a naturally skeptical, if not suspicious, nature, and you’d rather rely on yourself to get important things done than on other people. Good, because the Queen of Swords asks you to dig into a solo project or enterprise and tackle the intellectually challenging elements that require concentration, research, analysis, and insight creation (all of which are your natural gifts and favorite pastimes). Be a detective. Do the sleuthing required to get your project up, and running, and create results.
SAGITTARIUS: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE
The Wheel of Fortune links to Jupiter, your ruling planet, and brings you a plethora of surprises, treats, opportunities, and chaotic energies that you can turn into self-serving openings! You are a master of making opportunities from chaos. Others will watch, learn from, and envy this power of yours this week. It is your season, after all, so you deserve to get first dibs on whatever is going, right? Right. Make it happen, make it work, and serve yourself first!
CAPRICORN: THREE OF PENTACLES
Your reputation is climbing, both in terms of esteem and the volume of those noticing you. A win/win. The Three of Pentacles reveals that your hardworking, dignified, and trustworthy nature has been noticed, appreciated, and valued. You’re seen as an asset— likely in the workplace but this could apply to a friendship circle, family group, or community too. So, it’s time to ask for what you deserve, to get your rewards, and to enjoy your recognition. Make sure you’re visible and showing your best side to those with influence this week, and all of that will come to you.
AQUARIUS: THE DEVIL
Now is a good time to think about letting go of something you don’t want hanging around you in 2025. Maybe a commitment, a role, a habit, a mindset, or a self-limiting belief that keeps playing out (and you know the ending all too well). Release it. Resolve to substitute or replace it. Flip the switch and believe that this ‘thing’ is no longer on the menu. You can do this. The Devil is with you all week, like a weird shadow self buddy, helping you maintain the focus and willpower to make this shift and make it stick.
PISCES: SIX OF SWORDS
It’s time to move on, Pisces, SO time. And this is not a bad ending, it’s something you’ve thought about long and hard, and wanted to do. Everyone will understand, in fact, they’ll probably be jealous that you’ve had the courage and self-respect to take action. Sometimes we just have to draw a line and say ‘no more’, and it’s okay. New opportunities will flow thick and fast to replace this gap. Just make it happen. FEEL the relief!
