πŸŽ₯ Christine Sinclair scores poetic goal in final game at Providence Park

It was simply written in the stars.

Christine Sinclair has put the ball in the back of the net in her final game at Providence Park for the Portland Thorns.

The legendary forward announced her official retirement from football earlier in the year, and she will hang up her boots as the all-time leading scorer in international football, including the men’s game.

And in Portland Friday evening, she was honored before the game agains Angel City by the fans who have seen her score over 70 goals in NWSL.

And in Christine Sinclair fashion, the 41-year-old etched her name onto the scoresheet with a goal in the opening 20 minutes, potentially for the final time in her career.

The roar of the crowd tells you everything. It just had to be her.
